Editor's Review: P20 is the quintessential 'once-a-day' sun lotion, and one of the top selling tanning products on Fragrance Mad. The first generation of P20 was used by the British Army who, when on long outdoor exercises, didn't have time to repeatedly re-apply sun lotion every few hours or if they got wet. Although it worked brilliantly, you still had to wait up to an hour before exposing your skin to the sun, which could be frustrating if you're on holiday and eager to run down to the beach.
Since the early days, P20's unique formula has been enhanced and redeveloped, and now the lotion's sunscreen become active just fifteen minutes after application, and lasts for up to ten hours! That may seem like a lot of sunshine, but in many hot countries you can still get mild sunburn in the early morning or evening, despite the relatively cooler temperatures at those times of day.
Unlike many other sun lotions, you can apply P20 and not have to worry about it coming off in the pool as it's fully water resistant. You have to watch how you dry yourself, as rubbing yourself dry with a towel can cause the lotion to lose its effectiveness. The recommended way to dry yourself is by simply patting yourself dry with a towel, which keeps the P20 formula intact on your skin.
The rest of the tanning industry has been playing catch-up ever since P20 first hit the market and, while there are some excellent alternatives around now, P20 is still the original and best once-a-day tanning solution.
I always use P20 on holiday now, it's by far the most effective 'once a day' lotion I've ever used. I say lotion, it's actually more of an oil, and this is what makes P20 different from many other tanning products. The oil supposedly binds to your skin, meaning that it won't wash off when you're swimming etc. I've tried this theory out too, as I swim quite a lot on holiday and as long as I don't rub myself dry too vigourously, I don't need to reapply my P20. The only time I've had to reapply it was when I went scuba diving and the wetsuit rubbed against my skin, so I reapplied just in case. It's only SPF 20, which is fine for most holidays but if you're somewhere particularly hot well into the afternoon, you may find that you need to reapply around 3pm if you're planning on lying in the sun for another few hours. If you're not sunbathing all day there's no need to reapply at all, as 20 times your normal sun exposure is quite a lot of sunshine in a single day.
I've been using P20 for years and the early stuff used to take ages to 'set', up to an hour if I remember correctly. Thankfully the new stuff only takes about 15 before you can expose your skin to the sun and, although it still can stain very white clothes, it's much better at keeping stains away than it used to be.

This sun protection is wonderfull. I used to burn, and had skin cancer eight years ago. Since using this P20 no problems anymore.

Fantastic product. You only burn on the bits you miss. If you have acrylic nails wear gloves when applying as it destroys the acrylic.

P20 is great, I used to go red as a beetroot on holiday but I started using this and only have to put on in the morning and I'm covered factor 20 all day, no matter how much I swim. You can't beat this price either

we have been using this for years.i have only bought it cheaper ,several years ago,from a perfume shop in gran canaria where it was a loss leader.the shop keeper was surprised when i bought 6.it does exacly what it says without being greasy or making you smell like a coconut
