In terms of its sales and international structure, Escada is one of the world's leading luxury fashion brands. The company has a presence in about 60 different countries. Escada has a broad range of products in fashion (Escada Collection and Escada Sport), accessories (bags, shoes and small leather goods) and many others such as perfume and eyewear. Escada was founded by Margaretha and Wolfgang Ley in 1978. The company soon stood out, with its distinctive creations featuring unusual combinations of colours and patterns, exclusive embroidery, and elaborately designed knitted fashions. Escada have since branched into the perfume market.
