Alfred Dunhill took over his father's saddlery business in 1893, and began taking advantage of the motor car boom by developing the firm into Dunhill Motorities and selling car accessories. Dunhill later moved into smoking accessories, and today the firm also has a fragrance line, produced in partnership with Proctor and Gamble.
